Have you ever wanted to learn a magic trick?
Have you ever wanted to entertain & captivate a small audience?
Or perhaps you’d like to ‘break the ice’ when meeting someone?
Or perhaps you’d like to buy a gift for a family member who has always wanted ‘to learn magic’?
We introduce to you MAGIC 101, a short course presented by one of Cape Town’s most loved magicians, Greg Gelb.
In 6 weekly lessons, you’ll learn the basics of sleight-of-hand and illusion alongside an experienced performer & teacher, so that you’ll be able to perform your own 20-minute show for your family & friends.
We’ll provide you with the required materials, notes & hands-on support to learn 6 ‘impromptu tricks’ that you’ll be able to perform almost anywhere.
GROUP SIZE IS LIMITED TO SIX STUDENTS so that you can be confident that you’ll receive personal attention & guidance before you perform for an audience.
And once you’ve completed your lessons, we’ll prepare you for a public performance for your family & friends at our special Graduation Show, where you’ll have the opportunity to show everyone the new skills you have learnt!
Who is your teacher, Greg Gelb?
Greg is a self-taught professional magician
Greg learned magic and sleight-of-hand from books. He sat from his teenage years and read and practised day in and day out. If anyone knows what it takes to be committed to something - Greg does.
Greg has qualifications and experience in education
Greg has spent 8.5 years in education, where he has structured classes and taught educational material in the following subject at High School level: Science, Maths, History, Religious studies, and Accounting. He has also run a successful school in Cape Town for 2.5 years, using is Project Management degree to great lengths.
Greg loves magic and teaching magic
If a person can sit for over 10 years and learn an art and skills from text and trial-and-error, then he is dedicated and he Loves the art. That is Greg. He sleeps, eats and breathes magic. He has run an informal Master Class in teaching magic in Cape Town for adults, and now he is bringing his love and knowledge to YOU!
Greg is a ‘lefty’
Wait... what? Yes, THIS is a brilliant reason to join this course. Wikipedia states that 10% of the world is left-handed, meaning we can practically guarantee that the people joining this course will be right-handed. When you watch a left-handed magician perform... to copy them, all you have to do is mirror their actions, which, surprisingly is MUCH easier!
